2003 Yamaha Yz 125 Dirt Bike in Patterson, New York

I am moving to Florida in January and can't take my dirt bike with me. I bought it a year ago and never rode it because I never had the time to. It starts up great, and idles great, but doesn't shift into gear. I don't know much about dirt bikes but a friend of mine who does said it should be an easy fix, I just don't have the funds to fix it right now.
